Chocolate shortbread
Ingredient list
110 g butter soft/room temperature
45 g powdered sugar
34 g marzipan paste
30 g egg yolk
40 g milk
salt
vanilla
orange zest
110 g flour
30 g starch
20 g cocoa
100 g nougat
25 g white chocolate coating to garnish as required
How it works:
- beat the butter briefly and then whip with the powdered sugar.
- mix the marzipan paste with the egg yolk and add to the mixture. Then stir in the milk.
- sieve the flour, starch and cocoa and add to the bowl together with the vanilla, salt and orange zest and stir in briefly.
- pour the mixture into a piping bag and pipe into curls or rosettes using a star tip (8 mm).
- bake at 180°C for approx. 13 minutes. Leave the cookies to cool and then fill with nougat and assemble.
- garnish with the white chocolate coating.
