Fold the napkin in the middle.

Fold a second time in the middle.
Step 3
Fold the top layer of the top left corner diagonally down to the right.
Step 4
Turn the napkin over completely so that the top is on the table.

Plain fabric napkins are best suited to this technique. A beautiful edge or decorative stitching really comes into its own. Napkins printed on both sides also work. Napkins printed on one side are not recommended as the front and back are visible. Solid-colored, sturdy paper napkins are also good for cutlery bags.
